A collection of original hand coloured copperplate engraving from George Smith’s The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer’s Guide published by Jones & Co, London, 1826. George Smith was upholsterer and furniture draughtsman to his Majesty the Prince of Wales, later King George IV. Eleven plates in total, all later framed (last quarter of the 20th Century) in gilt trim and ebonised frames. The examples showcase many different trends of the time from drawing room curtains, in the Regency style.
