Giorgio Tentolini was born in Casalmaggiore, Italy in 1978. He studied graphic arts at the Art Institute Toschi in Parma and graduated in design and communication from the Università di Progetto in Reggio Emilia. After internships with artists such as Marco Nereo Rotelli, Tentolini began personal research with photographic installations garnering significant art prizes for his memorable work. Each of his works stems from specific research on time as memory and identity, in a careful and slow reconstruction that takes place with the study of light and the etching of layers of different materials such as fabric and paper. Wire mesh is the current medium of his research for the meditative levity that it puts into the image, a metaphor of places and memories, dreams and visions. Tentolini was the subject of a major exhibition at the Palazzo Reale Milano in Italy and has exhibited extensively at museums and the best galleries across Europe, in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, the Principality of Monaco and throughout Italy. Tentolini lives and works in Casalmaggiore, Reggio Emilia and Milan.
