Hollywood designer, Irene was considered an outstanding and consumate professional and shared costume designing stature with the likes of Adrian, Howard Greer, and John Orry-Kelly. Circal late 40's early 50's Irene black and light grey wool suit is designed and structured in a striking combination of horizontal and vertical strpes with collar, cuffs and lower jacket border trimmed in gold wool. Textile by Pola Stout. The jacket and skirt are horizontally striped and the jacket features contrasting vertical striped panels at bodice and upper back, offset by a horiztonally striped collar. The asymmetrical 3 button closure is designed off line to create a more interesting visual effect. Two (2) small side slit at skirt hemline.
