Jan Voss Prints and Multiples
Jan Voss was born in Hamburg, Germany, in 1936. He studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste München (Academy of Fine Arts Munich) from 1956–60. In 1966–67, Voss was a guest lecturer at the HFBK University of Fine Arts Hamburg. He was a professor at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris between 1987–92. Work by Voss was shown at the Kunsthalle in Kiel in 1997 and the Städtische Galerie Villa Zanders in Bergisch Gladbach in 2002. That same year he had a one-man show at Art Cologne to great critical acclaim. Jan Voss's artistic theme is creating order amongst perpetually moving chaos of a complex situation. Voss experiments with different inventive techniques and materials. His work has been exhibited and collected internationally.
