Jean Fautrier was a very influential French painter, illustrator and printmaker. He was one of the most important exponents of Tachisme and founded Informalism with Jean Dubuffet.

Kozo Inoue was a contemporary Japanese printmaker. Born in Osaka, he graduated from the Department of Art History at Keio University in 1960. During life, he worked during the winter months in the Izu Peninsula and Dordogne or Paris in the summer. He is known for his surrealistic silkscreen prints.
