These are fine collectors examples prime for the most discriminating collector or interior designer client. These examples have a nice light patina to the black leather cushions which exhibit a lightly distressed look to some areas. Very beautiful for those who love the look of aged leather. This example is from circa 1970 - the Knoll International label with 745 Fifth Ave address along with particular construction details indicates it was produced from 1970 to the early/mid 70s and has attractive leather patina to the original brown leather cushions. This chair dates to 1986 via the attached labels as seen in the photos. This example has a nice light leather patina to the black leather cushions. The black leather straps are in excellent condition with light patina and is not dry or cracking. The frame is in excellent vintage condition with light wear and is stainless steel, which combined with the correct rivets as seen in the photographs, helps to authenticate this as the correct and authentic Knoll International frame to the labeled cushions. The 1980s Knoll International versions were made with an upgraded leather and cushion compared to the earlier models. While some collectors prefer the 1960s and 1970s versions, those often have hardened foam and due to the thinner leather often have greater wear and condition issues.
