Isola designed the pattern in 1970 and it shows two parrots facing each other while sitting on a tree branch. (Marimekko describes the two birds as "having a chat".) This pattern came in several color combinations. This piece has birds with purple bodies, turquoise beaks, and olive green markings sitting on light orange branches against a dark orange background shape.
