Contemporary artist Peter Buchman's 'Panel No 1' is made of wood, epoxy and enamel. This piece is like something you might already recognize, but then again it could be simply be something graphic, heavy, striking, yet contained. Maybe it registers as a domino or a hard semi-industrial element. However when the light hits it - it comes alive, and that's something completely unexpected. Signed, titled and dated on verso.
American artist Peter Buchman has BFA in Illustration from The Rhode Island School of Design and did a Sculpture Residency at The School of Visual Arts in New York. Peter's artwork has been exhibited throughout the US since 1981 including the Parrish Art Museum (Southampton, NY), Cooperstown Museum (NY), Delaware Museum of Art, Kidder Smith Gallery (MA) and Vered Gallery (Easthampton).
