The upper and lower portions of the body are encompassed with chased decorated vertebrate bands of scrolling leaf ornamentation accented with floral motifs. The shoulders of this Victorian silver spirit tea kettle are embellished with an impressive applied rope twist style, spiralling border encasing a single strand. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver teapot; an addition to the silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver teapot has a baluster form onto four bracket style feet. The body of this antique silver teapot is embellished with execptional chased floral designs segmented with large leaf designs, incorporating a large vacant cartouche to either side. The shaped, scalloped rim of the body is encircled with an applied bead decorated border accented with stylised leaf motifs to the alternating incurves. This Victorian teapot is fitted with a plain hinged hallmarked domed cover ornamented with chased decorated simplified floral and foliate sprays. The cover retains the original fine and impressive cast, hallmarked sterling silver lobed finial incorporating further leaf designs. The impressive hallmarked sterling silver S scroll handle is ornamented with a scrolling thumbpiece and leaf decorated sockets.
