Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Christening Mug - Arts & Crafts Style

A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver christening mug in the Arts & Crafts style; an addition to our wine and drinks related silverware collection. This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver mug has a plain bell-shaped form onto a circular pedestal foot. The surface of this silver mug has a subtle planished finish. The anterior surface of the mug is embellished with the contemporary engraved inscription 'To Eva Dorothy Prodgers from her Godfather', in an Arts and Crafts typeface. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an impressive sterling silver C scroll handle. Condition This antique planished silver christening mug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the mug are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
