Hallmarked in London in 1866 by Henry Holland, this very attractive, Victorian, antique sterling silver christening mug, features chased and engraved decoration to the sides, a gilt interior and bead borders. The christening mug measures 3.75"(9.5cm) tall, by 4"(10cm) from handle to side, by 2.75"(7cm) deep, and weighs 4 troy ounces.

An exceptional, fine and impressive large antique Victorian English sterling silver christening mug; part of our silver christening collection This antique Victorian silver christening mug has a circular, subtly tapering rounded form onto a circular spreading foot. The body of the mug is embellished with exceptional embossed and chased decorated angel/putto* head designs, accented with wing motifs to the nadir.
