Aleida is based on a combination of graphic shapes and expression. A young girl adorned with flowers looks past the viewer. Part of Ryan's ongoing study of the female portrait with the ideals of balancing strength and fragility. He contrasted simple hard edge shapes with soft tones. The piece has striking texture and modern hues.
