Handmade Baltic Amber and Silver Bead Necklace, Late 20th Century Handmade amber bead necklace composed of 36 individually shaped and polished amber beads, graduated in size from approximately 8 mm to 20 mm. The beads are linked with silver connectors and finished with a silver clasp. Estimated net Amber carats is appx 260. The amber has been tested and confirmed as genuine, displaying a rich range of warm honey and cognac tones with natural internal inclusions typical of the material. The graduated bead arrangement and substantial weight give the necklace a sculptural presence and allow it to sit lower on the chest when worn. The necklace measures approximately 40 cm in length as worn, falling at mid-chest, as shown in the photographs.
