An elegant Victorian-era cross pendant crafted in 14 karat yellow gold, measuring approximately 1 1/2 inches long by 15/16 inch wide and weighing 5.29 grams. The cross is set with 11 old mine cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.00 carat, displaying near-colorless appearance with VS clarity. The diamonds are prong-set and arranged with seven running vertically and five across the center, creating a classic cross formation. Each row of diamonds is framed by black enamel detailing, a design element commonly associated with Victorian mourning jewelry. The enamel is bordered by decorative yellow gold scalloping, adding contrast and texture to the piece. Consistent with its age, the black enamel shows visible wear toward the lower portion of the cross, which is typical for antique pieces and reflects its history.
