The seed pod quality of the design adds an organic influence of mother nature to the collection’s geometric form. Dimmable illumination is created by LED lights, which nestle within the metal cage. Lunar collection of table furniture takes the sheer glamour of stone into yet another galaxy. Following the design language of Solaris, they take inspiration from the planets and their orbital movements, featuring highly-figured, richly-coloured marbles set, like precious jewels, within brass rims. Discs echoing planetary forms are bisected or overlaid to create surface patterns and structural elements, forming dynamically-poised bases and tops. Please note that no two marbles are alike and there will be variations in the pattern as well as in the colour of the pieces. The table has three slightly visible solder joints on the metal rim. There are also two visible screws on the half disc that supports the large marble disk. Please note that these is not an imperfections, but they are integral part of the piece. Each piece of furniture is individually numbered and comes with a signed Certificate of authenticity to prove that it is Bohinc Studio original. The original inspiration piece for the collection is relaunched in new materials of dark brass and Rosa portugalo marble. The graceful stone expressions concentrically hold the functional inner brass vase, which is removable. Named after the planet Jupiter, the new Jupiter vase features a brass bullet shaped vase and a base in 3-D milled Carrara marble. The vase can be removed from its rainbow shaped base. Handmade in Italy using a mix of handmade metalwork and 3-D milled marble parts. Please note that marble color and veining can vary as this is natural and unique material. There can also be variations in the color of dark brass as oxidation is a natural process.
