About Nina Bovasso

I'm a visual artist living and working in NYC, NY. I was born and raised here and both of my parents were artists. I am inspired by many things and how these things interact with each other, with us humans, and the world. My mom was a textile designer which had a big influence on me. My works are kind of a patter gone-amok or anti-design. I love making works on paper for many reasons. The way the paint color absorbs into the paper, and how the image sits in the space of the paper as kind of a given are among many other reasons.
