About Scout Studios
Scout Studios is based in Oklahoma City and specializes in curating one of a kind pieces from a wide assortment of periods. Carissa Stevens, a native Oklahoman, began Scout Studios upon returning stateside after living as an expat abroad. She credits her eye for beautiful things to her background in exploring the beaten path across the world, and learning that not all beautiful pieces are right in front of you. This sentiment carries across to her design aesthetic today.

Antique Jack London White Fang Seven Seas Edition Collier Illustrated c.1906
Located in Oklahoma City, OK
A beautifully preserved early 20th-century antique illustrated edition of Jack London’s legendary novel White Fang, bound in its original deep green cloth with an elegant blind-stamped sailing ship device to the cover — a signature design element of Collier’s coveted Seven Seas Edition.
This edition features:
A striking full-page illustration of White Fang and the collie
Classic typographic title page with publisher’s device
Deckled, age-toned pages that create an exceptional warm patina
Original period binding ideal for display
The tactile cloth, maritime motif, and rich green tone make this an especially desirable copy for both collectors and designers sourcing authentic library material.
About the Author & Story:
Jack London — one of the most important voices in American naturalism — drew from his own experiences in the Klondike Gold Rush to write White Fang (1906), a powerful wilderness narrative told from the perspective of a wild wolf-dog.
The novel explores:
Survival in the brutal North
The tension between civilization and instinct
Transformation through kindness and trust
It remains one of the most influential animal-perspective adventure stories ever written and is a cornerstone of American literary history.
For collectors, London represents the golden age of rugged American storytelling alongside Hemingway and Melville — making his works essential in a well-curated library.
Condition
Very good antique condition for its age.
Structurally sound binding
Light expected wear to cloth
Interior clean with age toning
Small edge tear to preliminary page (visible in photos)

Antique 1921 Book 'The Boy Scouts to the Rescue' by George Durston in Green
Located in Oklahoma City, OK
A charming and increasingly collectible early 20th-century Boy Scouts adventure title, The Boy Scouts to the Rescue by George Durston, published in 1921 by the Saalfield Publishing Company. The book retains original Markham School District 102 institutional stamps, offering a wonderful glimpse into its early life in an American school library.
Bound in its original light olive-green cloth with striking black pictorial decoration to the front cover and spine, this example retains its authentic period character, enhanced by visible age, school district markings, and a beautifully time-softened patina to the pages.
The title page confirms the 1921 copyright date in Roman numerals (MCMXXI), placing this firmly in the golden era of American scouting literature — a period that coincided with the rapid cultural rise of the Boy Scouts of America (founded 1910).
The cover illustration — depicting uniformed scouts in an action scene — is a wonderful example of early 20th-century graphic book design and makes this piece particularly display-worthy.
