A shodana is a traditional asian display cabinet with a characteristic configuration of asymmetrical compartments — combining open shelves, small doors, drawers, and niches at different levels and sizes. Exactly what we see here. I incorrectly identified it as Vietnamese, when the asymmetrical architectural form of the compartments is the distinctive mark of the Asian shodana.
