Project Room 1.5" AL Knob
By Project Room
Located in Los Angeles, CA
We sculpt each knob with aluminum foil before sand-casting it in aluminum at our local foundry. It’s a physical ‘game of telephone’, a translation, or a conversation, or maybe a pun. A humble-but-striking, utilitarian-but-elegant, perfectly imperfect piece. The image shown is representative of size, but no two are alike and your 1.5" AL Knob will not look exactly like the knob above. Interested in customization? A two-sided candle holder? A five-foot-tall menorah...

Monumental 19th c Gilt Copper Spire Roof Finial
Located in Hanover, MA
Extraordinary architectural roof finial spire over 9 feet high constructed of hand beaten copper then finished in gold leaf. Looking for a statement piece? You've found it! Weighs under 75 pounds. Stands steady on its own. In two pieces: the top ~40 inches can be removed from the rest, for ease of transport. Unrestored. Finish is worn and distressed but the original natural patina is gorgeous. It may be possible to go over the gilding with something that will bring out its luster. We have only dusted it. The largest sphere has a couple of noticeable dents which I'm sure could be pulled out however we love it just the way it is. Found in the basement of an un-renovated 1850's brick townhouse atop Beacon Hill. We speculate the copper is from Paul Revere's own works. Unsigned apparently but some of the American companies who made finials, weathervanes, etc. were: J.W. Fiske Cushing & Sons, Westervelt, Mullins Thomas W. Jones Kenneth Lynch...

Architectural Element Mayan Demon from the Aztec Room by Waylande Gregory
By Waylande Gregory
Located in Las Vegas, NV
An architectural element (demon lizard) designed by Waylande Gregory in the 1920's. This was culled from the Hotel President in KC, Missouri. Gregory's most famous work at the Hotel President was the Aztec Room, the hotel's dining room, which he decorated in Mayan plaster-of-Paris reliefs as interpreted in an Art-Deco idiom. (2 photos of the actual room shown). Demon is painted in a terracotta color enamel. This piece is an actual remnant of the Aztec room in which several of these Mayan demon lizards surrounded the upper wall crown...
