Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso soft transparent champagne with a hint of purple Italian art glass fish on base sculpture. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, circa 1950s. Published in his book (see photo), model 6180, and a later model number 6913 is in the same shape. The fish has little blue murine eyes, with white Latticino ribbons on the fins and tail. It is balanced on a clear glass base. Would make a great display piece on any dresser, coffee table, or display cabinet. Mid-century era. Would make a great addition to any Nautical, Marine / Ocean theme room. Vintage art glass bud vase features orange body with undulating ribbon accent in red fused glass; the colored glass is layered in and encased in clear glass layer in sommerso technique.
