Antique Moroccan Koran Scroll Talisman Box Amulet Holder Made of Metal Silvered Repousse. Large Berber tribal ethnic talisman pendant storage box with a lovely original patina, a rare, large amulet necklace probably from Morocco. Traditionally the case would have contained a small copy of the Koran or other protective religious verses or written incantations were sealed inside to protect the wearer. This ornate box is a Quran case or carrier and would have originally been worn by someone to protect from the evil eye.
