A visually arresting set of four handblown clear crystal thorn vases, produced in Czechoslovakia circa 1890, during the late Victorian period. Each vase is individually formed, featuring a tall cylindrical body rising from an irregular, organically splayed base, with applied clear glass thorns spiralling around the surface in a dynamic, twisting rhythm. The thorn decoration is expressive and deliberately uneven, clearly applied and manipulated by hand while the glass remained malleable.
