Large Antique Doulton Lambeth Silicon Ware Art Pottery Vase
About the Item
This large antique art pottery vase was done by the highly renowned Doulton Lambeth factory of England in approximately 1880 in a period Victorian style. The vase is done in muted pastel tones with a brown stoneware ground in their 'Silicon' pattern. The vase is decorated with a stylized floral motif using their signature 'Silicon' technique, giving the visual appearance of a micro-mosaic, accented with hand painted details. The vase is clearly marked with the impressed marks for Doulton-Lambeth Silicon, with some model numbers and initials.
