Located in Austin, TX
An elegant Japanese cast and lacquered bronze incense burner, koro, topped with a mythical kirin, Taisho Period, circa 1920, Japan. The tall koro of tripod form, with three elegant legs with outward curved feet resting on an integral circular base. The compressed body cast with a delightful scene of a pair of birds roosting on branches of flowering plum. A pair of monster masks adorn the sides.
