Korean antique white porcelain vase / 15th-16th century / Joseon dynasty
Located in Sammu-shi, Chiba
This is a white porcelain vase made in Korea in the 15th to 16th century. During the Joseon dynasty, white porcelain was considered noble. Many masterpieces from the Yi dynasty are white porcelain. Most of the items from this period are excavated, and this one is also an excavation. It is not pure white, but a slightly bluish-gray white porcelain. It has a shape that is characteristic of this period, with a trumpet-shaped tip that gradually bulges downward. There is a diagram in the art book that shows the characteristics of each period, so please see the areas circled in red. The item also has several cracks, which are thought to be very fine cracks that occurred during firing, but there is no water leakage. It can be used as a vase. The chipped tip has been restored and painted with silver. This is a commonly known repair method in Japan where gold or silver paint is applied. The silver color was probably chosen because it matched the color of the pottery better than gold. It is a beautifully balanced piece of pottery. If you are interested in collecting antique Korean pottery...

Korean Old Pottery Black Jar / Mid-20th Century / Wabi-Sabi Vase
Located in Sammu-shi, Chiba
This seems to be an old Korean pottery jar. In Korea, pots similar to this shape have been made for a long time. It is thought that this was made by imitating the shape. And it is this rope that is most attractive. It is decorative and in harmony with the design of this jar. The contrast between the blackish color and the color of the rope is beautiful, and the large size at 47cm in height gives it a strong presence. I think it would look really cool if you put it in your room. There are no big scratches and the condition is good. Recommended item. Also,Since this is an unglazed pot...
