A rare set of 8 small plates with a geometric pattern signed Sarreguemines.  

Set of four ceramic storage jars, made in Biot, in the south of France, around the 1960s. Each jar is glazed in glossy white, decorated with hand-painted blue motifs and black typographic inscriptions (including Aromates, Café, Pâtes), and finished with a natural cork stopper. Typical of post-war French kitchens, these jars combine functionality with Provençal decorative charm. Faenza, located between the Adriatic Sea and Bologna, is known as the “City of Ceramics.” The term faience is a French version of the town’s name.
