Vieillard & Cie "Nella" Service End of the 19th Century Faience, 71 Pieces
Located in Paris, FR
Vieillard & Cie "Nella" Service in the spirit of Japonism, made of hand painted faience on a white background enhanced with a cobalt blue rim on earth pieces.

19th Century French Napoleon III Black and White Plates from Gien, Set of 8
By Gien
Located in Dallas, TX
This elegant set of eight antique plates was crafted in France, circa 1870. Each hand painted plate with French wording illustrates a scene depicting the "life of a soldier". The Faïencerie de Gien is a ceramic factory in the Loire Valley, founded in 1821 by Thomas Edme Hulm. Amongst the many faience manufacturers in the 19th century, the reputation of Gien is equal to those of the factories of Creil, Longwy or Sarreguemines.
