A superb example of Danish Mid-Century Modern functionalism, this rare "Anker-Line" skillet was designed by the legendary Jens Harald Quistgaard in the 1950s for De Forenede Jernstøberier (DFJ) in Denmark.
This piece dates to the esteemed "Pre-Dansk" era, showcasing the sculptural elegance and material innovation that Quistgaard later brought to the world stage. The skillet features a striking, asymmetrical heart-shaped silhouette crafted from heavy-gauge cast iron with a sophisticated matte grey-green enamel finish. Its most distinctive feature is the elegantly tapered handle, meticulously hand-wrapped in its original rattan (cane), providing both a comfortable grip and a beautiful organic contrast to the industrial cast iron.
As much a piece of kitchen sculpture as it is a professional-grade cooking tool, this "Anker-Line" pan is a highly sought-after collectible for enthusiasts of Scandinavian design and gourmet vintage cookware...
