An execptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English straight sterling silver King's pattern flatware service for ten persons; an addition to our canteen of cutlery collection The pieces of this fine, antique Victorian straight* sterling silver cutlery service for ten persons have been crafted in King's pattern. The anterior surface of each piece incorporates the engraved initials 'HCD'. The reverse of each spoon and fork features a union shell and diamond heel in addition to convex shell ornamentation to the terminal. Beautiful set of antique ceramic tableware, made by the English manufacturer T.C. Brown Westhead Moore & Co. The model name is Canova. This service is decorated with all kinds of different images of birds. These images are full of details, they are atmospheric and true to nature. The images also show other elements from nature such as plants, insects and flowers. An ode to nature. Also nice are the subtle gold-coloured accents on the serving pieces. All parts are marked on the back, and a diamond registration mark can be seen. From this it can be concluded that the service was made in December 1868. It is special that this set is so old, and is still so relatively extended and in such good condition. A beautiful service to use on the table, but also suitable for display in a cabinet or kitchen. The set is in very nice condition, especially considering its age. No chips and no hairlines. Hardly any discolorations. The composition of the set: -Oval serving plate...
