This one-of-a-kind organic modern ceramic table lamp is hand-built in high-fired stoneware in Detroit and produced as a unique work in 2024. Rooted in contemporary design and architectural restraint, the composition investigates proportion, mass, and illumination as a sculptural medium.
Form Study Table Lamp 3 is defined by disciplined shifts in volume and vertical clarity. The silhouette balances grounded mass with ascending geometry, creating a structure that feels resolved and architectural rather than decorative.
High-fired for permanence and material depth, the glaze responds naturally to planes and edges, producing tonal variation unique to this work. In ambient light, the piece reads as a ceramic object of structural study.
A linen shade crowns the form, allowing illumination to radiate upward and outward while softly activating the ceramic base below. Light is controlled and atmospheric, reinforcing the geometry without overwhelming it.
