MAD architects have reinvigorated this favorite of mid-20th century design, the floor-ceiling suspension light. The drooping ridged surface of the PU and stainless steel shade conveys an alien Chrysalis, protecting a creature in a state of metamorphosis. The lights can be ordered in individual units or as a set (mix and match). The suspension lights come in three sizes: large ($5000 each), medium ($4000 each) and small ($3000 each). The lights can be set up in 2 ways: one is floor-to-ceiling (with “tails” in the end), the other is just hanging light set...

circa 20th C. Chinese Porcelain Vases Turned-to-Lamps with French Ormolu Mounts
Located in New York, NY
An Unusual Pair of 20th Century Chinese Porcelain Vases Turned-to-Lamps with French Ormolu Mounts. This is truly an unusual pair of lamps, with a black and turquoise blue salmon roe fish ground and an elaborate and unusual number of round cartouches, each with a different interior design. The cartouche roundels are hand-enameled and include peaches, flowers, Daoist symbols, and many more Chinese inspired designs. Each lamp is hand-enameled with a gorgeous array of details and sophistication. The vases are flanked with gilt elephant-ear handles and have their original lids, which were later converted to lamps to be used in any modern day setting. The porcelain vases are mounted on a pair of gorgeous French ormolu mounts, which are finished with hand-chased designs. China, Circa: 19th C. Height of Vases with...

Fragment 05 Wall Light by Sing Chan
Located in Geneve, CH
Fragment 05 wall light by Sing Chan Dimensions: W 26.5 x D 16.5 x H 104 cm Materials: Stainless steel, glass. All our lamps can be wired according to each country. If sold to the USA it will be wired for the USA for instance. The past and the future are never disconnected. In this multifarious world, things are full of connections. Maybe we have to be reckless, maybe we can turn a blind eye, maybe we can be voracious, and maybe we can be casual, the time is. It has been two years since the last lamp creation, and this presentation will continue the past, complementing the Fragment series and expressing some ideas that have not been realized. The new collection was inspired by I.M. Pei's Louvre Pyramid, which was heavily criticized by Parisian society for being too avant-garde and out of place in the Classic Louvre. It seems to be the same as Fragment series, seeking a balance point between the avant-garde and the classical. The glass is attached to the metal to wrap the light, and the light travels through the tight structure, sometimes hitting the wall, sometimes being free, extending infinitely in the limited space. Although inspired by the Louvre Pyramid, but different in light efficiency. In the initial test, only the four sides of the glass were tested without fixed light effect. Staggered light was born to form a unique cross light...
