One of a kind antique chandelier with amazing arms and natural mineral stone shades. With early 20th century lighting as one of our specialities we were amazed when we found this unique light fixture. We were amazed by the quality and beauty and to have found it in this wonderful condition made the experience even better. 'Art and antiques with a soul' is what we strive to offer and this work of lighting art most certainly fits that bill. At the center of this antique chandelier are the bearded, wizard like sculptures in their unique body position. Kneeling down and bending over forward they are reaching out whilst holding onto their beards. These remarkably long beards are like flowing water from which ultimately the light holders culminate. We don't know from which legend, fairy tale or mythological story the artist got his inspiration, but the result is a one of a kind and striking fixture with a mystical look and feel that will never fail to impress. With all five-light burning this small size chandelier will easily light up a regular size dining or kitchen area. An early 20th century Anatolian terracotta oil jar from Western Turkey, hand-thrown and traditionally fired, now converted into a sculptural table lamp. This vessel was used for storing olive oil or water, with its rounded body and stable base designed for everyday use. The defining feature is the glazed rim, finished in a deep green glaze applied to strengthen and seal the lip during use. This sits in contrast to the unglazed body below, where the terracotta shows a naturally developed patina with tonal variation across warm clay and darker areas formed through firing. Subtle pitting and surface markings are visible throughout, adding depth without overwhelming the form. The proportions are full and grounded, with a broad body and slightly narrowing base, giving the piece a strong, balanced silhouette.
