Broom Corn by Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver Flatware Set 8 Service 59 pcs Dinner

By Tiffany & Co.

Located in Big Bend, WI

Tiffany & Co. is one of the most prominent purveyors of luxury goods in the United States, and has long been an important arbiter of style in the design of diamond engagement rings. A young Franklin Delano Roosevelt proposed to his future wife, Eleanor, with a Tiffany ring in 1904. Vanderbilt's, Whitney's, Astor's and members of the Russian imperial family all wore Tiffany & Co. jewels. And Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis preferred Tiffany china for state dinners at the White House. Although synonymous with luxury today, the firm started out rather modestly. Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young founded it in Connecticut as "a stationery and fancy goods emporium" in 1837, at a time when European imports still dominated the nascent American luxury market. In 1853, Charles Tiffany who in 1845 had launched the company's famed catalog, the Blue Book, and with it, the firm's signature robin's-egg blue, which he chose for the cover shifted the focus to fine jewelry. In 1868, Tiffany & Co. gained international recognition when it became the first U.S. firm to win an award for excellence in silverware at the Exposition Universelle in Paris. From then on, it belonged to the pantheon of American luxury brands. Dinner Size Broom Corn by Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Flatware set - 59 pieces. This set includes: 8 Dinner Size Knives with blunt silverplated blades, 10 1/2" 8 Dinner Size Forks, 7 1/2" 8 Luncheon/Dessert Forks, 7" 8 Teaspoons, 5 7/8" 8 Place Soup Spoons, 7" 8 Flat Handle Butter Spreaders, 6" 8 Dessert Knives, hollow handle all-sterling, 7 1/2" 1 Gravy Ladle with fluted bowl, 7 1/4" 1 Cold Meat Fork, fluted, 8 3/4" 1 Sugar Spoon, scalloped, gold-washed, 6" Includes bonus brand new storage chest - styles vary. Located in Big Bend, WI

Named for the Richard the Lion Hearted, this pattern was inspired by the rich architectural decoration of old English mansions. Introduced in 1932, the design appears to be deeply carved so the details stand out clearly, offsetting the central ornamental shield mimicking those carried by knights during the crusades and the pointed oval top and neck framed in curling leaves. The confident styling will elevate every meal into a festive dining experience, and enhance traditional and formal settings Beautiful and huge King Richard by Towle...

This magnificent and impressive antique Georgian sterling silver spirit kettle has a circular rounded form. The surface of the Georgian silver kettle is plain and embellished with a contemporary engraved coat of arms encompassed with a scrolling leaf decorated border/cartouche. This antique silver kettle is fitted with a plain flush hinged hallmarked cover; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece. The cover is surmounted with the original carved stained wood and sterling silver topped button style finial. This exceptional example of antique silver tea ware is fitted with the original hinged hand piece overlaid with interwoven wicker, strategically interlaced to produce a segmented braided design. The cast handle is further ornamented with scrolling decoration, in addition to substantial leaf sockets in junction with the body. The kettle is fitted with an impressive cast spout, accented with a scrolling design to the tip of the lip, in addition to moulded decoration to the lower portion. The kettle detaches from the original hallmarked sterling silver stand, supported by three impressive opposing scrolling legs. The upper portion of the cast silver stand features a band of oval motifs, with a flared shaped upper rim. The stand incorporates a plain scrolling frame which retains the original hallmarked detachable spirit burner with integrated hinged snuffer. This magnificent antique kettle...
