This beautiful Louis XV chandelier is made of gilded tole, gold plating on tin, and joins our collection from Italy. The piece dates back to the mid 20th Century, circa 1950, and offers a unique shape with a foliate motif throughout. Floral bobeches reach out from petal shaped arms, all of which are connected to a palm frond inspired center stem. The piece plays host to five arms and five lights. This unique vintage pushka (charity box) is a rare historical piece from an Agudath Israel convention held in early 20th-century Europe, possibly near Switzerland. The design and inscriptions suggest that it was distributed to attendees as a keepsake and functional charity collection box. The pushka is made of tin, crafted by the European company Gebr.
