By Boucher & Co
Located in Queensland, AU
Art Deco inspired Box with Shagreen and black Ebony detailing.
A very special little box from the Boucher & Co Collection, inspired by intricate beaded work created last century by the House of Dior, handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail in the Toowoomba, Australia workrooms.

The interior is fitted with a fine Italian red leather and timberwork protected with a durable clear satin lacquer.
Signed and engraved with the registered number.
Box size 12.5 x 18.5 x 4 cm

"In 2008 we were privileged to enjoy an amazing Art Deco exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia. The exhibition, organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, was truly a feast for the senses.

Located in Studio City, CA
A beautiful, singular silver gelatin photographic print by renowned Australian photographer/artist titled "Uta Uta Tjangala's camp at Yayayi Bore, 1973"
The one-off, unique work is hand pencil signed, titled, dated (printed in 1991), and numbered (1/1) by Rhodes in the lower margin.
Jon Rhodes was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales in 1947. before moving at a young age to Brisbane, Queensland. He took up photography in the late 60s which eventually led him to documentary work as an assistant cinematographer in countries such as Australia, Papua New Guinea, and India where he developed his cinematic approach to photography. Australian Sydney Harbour Bridge design Painting 1932
By Douglas Annand
Located in Seaford, GB
Sydney Harbour poster
Sydney Harbour Bridge poster design
Attributed to Douglas Annand in our opinion, this was an original drawing for the 1932 poster competition.
In 1932, the poster competition committee asked Douglas Annand and Arthur Whitmore to collaborate together to produce the now-famous 19th March 1932 poster.
There are clear similarities between ours and the collaborative poster.
Our design clearly shows more of an Art Deco and feminine design, as opposed to the more masculine, collaborative Sydney Harbour Bridge poster design.
Our drawing is Gouache on paper laid down on the artist's board.
The drawing is in the original frame and mount, dated March 1932 and is unsigned.
BIOGRAPHY
Douglas Shenton Annand (1903-1976), graphic designer and artist, was born on 22 March 1903 at Toowoomba, Queensland, the third child of Frederick William Gadsby Annand, accountant, and his wife Helen Alice, née Robinson, both Queenslanders. Having taken the commercial course at the Central Technical College, Brisbane, in 1920, Douglas j...
