Vintage Hawaiian Shirt, Parrot and Floral Design, Men's X-Large, Circa 1970's
About the Item
Cotton Hawaiian vintage shirt with flora and fauna theme of Hawaiian islands; including multiple parrots and abundant flowers in a multiplicity of crisp bright colors of blue, red, purple, green, and white; in "ready to wear" excellent condition (has been cleaned and ironed); looks hardly worn. Wooden buttons, straight horizontal bottom cut (to be worn outside of pants), large collar (no stays), and sewn in red label sewn on all four sides "Hawaii" with an image of Diamond Head, all indicate vintage manufacture and Made in Hawaii genesis, Circa 1970's. Single breast pocket is "pattern matched" which means the exact shirt pattern continues over the pocket; more expensive for the company to produce, but the result is a more professional and fine tailored look.
This is a really fine shirt made of comfortable smooth cotton, with the decorative floral and parrot theme carried out front, back, inside and out! It is in excellent condition with no staining, no fading, and multi-sharp colors.
As far as the size is concerned, it is not marked, but I would estimate it to be an X-Large. A fashionable double pleat to the back allows for additional flexibility. I am 6'1" 192 pounds and it fits me perfectly and comfortably.
