Its frame is expertly crafted from burl oak veneer, paired with solid walnut rails for a chic, minimalist look from behind. The chair features thick seat pads upholstered in a cream boucle, ensuring plush comfort for any setting. The swoop on our Rhino Chair arm rest is reminiscent of the elegant curve of its parent creature’s back. Materials: Burl Oak veneered frame with solid oak rails. In 1956, he designed the S Chair which can be considered a forerunner of the Panton chair. He saw it as an item of furniture in which the back, seat and legs were made of the same material and in one continuous piece. It was first produced in 1965. They are very versatile, and they have a rock star fade to them. They are incredibly sturdy, and built to last. The fiberglass seats are in beautiful condition throughout. The bases have some rust, which can either be left as is, de-rusted, or painted. We leave this to you. We like them as they are.
