This is one of the most exquisitely made center writing desks with three drawers. It is veneered with the highest quality parquetry in the Louis Cube design with tulipwood and kingwood and set with gilt bronze galleries and mounts. The rectangular writing or Ladies desk stands on four octagonal tapered legs with ormolu mounts ending in gilt bronze sabots. The top is covered with a gilt tooled brown leather writing surface.
