The camel is naturalistically colored and rests on a raised, mottled green ground, suggesting a desert landscape.
The lid of the box is formed by the camel's loaded pack, which is meticulously detailed with a variety of goods. This top section is removable, revealing a square, hollow interior in a contrasting light blue glaze—a small, hidden surprise. The impressed mark "St Ad" on the base confirms its origin from the Saint-Amand-les-Eaux pottery. This pottery, which was active from the 17th century to 1920, was renowned for its high-quality, brightly colored tin-glazed earthenware, a technique known as faience in France. St. Amand's work, often featuring rich glazes and creative forms, was widely exported and highly sought after for both tableware and decorative objects.
Majolica, with its vibrant glazes and playful designs, saw a resurgence in popularity in the mid-19th century, particularly in England and France. A George Jones Majolica Centerpiece Jardinière, the cobalt glazed shaped bowl supported by two naturalistically molded and glazed doves, with ribbon-wrapped garlands and trimmed in yellow ocher, on a rustic mound with green-glazed leaves and ferns forming the base; the reverse with molded and applied blue cartouche pad, 'GJ' monogram, and 'STOKE-on-TRENT.' Design number 2225 for the entry, 'Dove Jardinière,' as recorded in the George Jones Majolica Pattern Books preserved in the Victorian and Albert Museum, Wedgwood Collection, and reprinted in V. Bergesen.*
The design is documented in the Karmason Library of the Majolica International Society, Number KL001257 with the designation 'Rare.'

One of a kind, fine quality antique toy, "Dancing Couples" is of French manufacture, it is marked in raised lettering "A.L. Paris" at the top of the base. It is also very similar to several French toys noted in "Antique Toys" by Jeffrey Levitt, and the young lady's face is almost identical to the bisque face on a French toy referenced on page 209 plate #372.
This outstanding toy consists of two figures, a young man resembling Napoleon Bonaparte, and a young lady, dressed in period clothes with bisque (porcelain) faces and heads and wooden legs. The base is some type of metal composite consisting of a cast lead alloy. The polychromed hand painted blue and red metal dance floor is also a lead alloy. The wire stands supporting the figures is of ferrous metal.
The bisque faces are very lifelike with flesh tones and blue eyes, rosy cheeks to the lady with bisque auburn hair. He is dressed in original period Napoleon type military clothes...

This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver spirit kettle has a melon shaped, incurved paneled form.
Each segment of the paneled body is embellished with impressive alternating flat engraved designs incorporating quatrefoil motifs accented with bordered leaf ornamentation and a trellis pattern, all encompassed with a matte texture.
The upper portion of the body is encircled with a flat engraved undulating border with applied moulded decoration to the scalloped rim.
This antique silver kettle is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover surmounted with the exceptional and original hallmarked sterling silver gourd shaped finial, securing to the interior with a wing nut.
This fine example of Victorian teaware is fitted with an impressive hallmarked sterling silver scrolling handle ornamented with impressive cast S-scroll, leaf decorated terminals accented with large scrolling leaf decorated sockets in junction with the body.
This solid silver kettle has a plain paneled swan necked spout with an impressive scalloped shaped socket accented with a paralleling border.
This exceptional kettle detaches from the original hallmarked cast sterling silver Stand, supported by four impressive cast scrolling legs accented with further applied leaf ornamentation.

This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot.
The body of this 1870s silver goblet is embellished with bright cut engraved foliate festoons accented with pensile leaf drops; these vertical designs form four cartouches.
The cartouche to one side bears a bright cut engraved fruit design; the further three remain vacant.
The knopped stem is encircled with a plain moulded border to the centre.
The foot is ornamented with further bright cut engraved overlapping arch designs, accented with an applied bead decorated border to the rim.
Condition
This antique 1870s silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The goblet has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp and the applied ornamentation is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the goblet are all very clear.
