These NATURAL LEATHER collage tiles are made in modular sizes and SOLD BY THE SQUARE FOOT, NOT PER TILE. The tiles can be hung on any wall surface and in any configuration. Each panel is composed randomly and therefore, no two panels are alike. They are made from upcycled leather cuttings from our furniture company and mounted on 1/2" plywood MDF. The frame has been hand-milled from a solid slab of sustainably sourced American black walnut by our carpenters perfectly offsetting the character-rich patina of the embossed leather within depicting, among other Incan symbols, Supay - the Incan god of death and guide to the afterlife. Angel Pazmino is an Ecuadorian furniture maker who has, in recent years, earned world-wide acclaim for his unlikely merging of pre-Columbian American and Mid-Century Modern design elements into his works. Born in 1926, Pazmino began his woodworking career in 1944 as a cabinet maker.
