About the Item

Large Primitive bleached walnut and flint grain thresher dating to the 19th century. Hand carved walnut embedded with sharpened flint stones. Originally used in an agricultural setting to remove useable portions of grain from chaff and stalks. Now functions as a decorative piece leaning against a wall or mounted. Nice Large Scale and naturally sun-bleached finish. Note: Original/early finish on antique and vintage metal will include some, or all, of the following: patina, scaling, light rust, discoloration, and corrosion. Regional differences in humidity and climate during shipping may cause antique and vintage wood to shrink and/or split along its grain, veneer to loosen and/or peel, and painted finishes and gilt to crack and flake.
