1970s Italian Mid Century Modern Plush Carmel Leather Club Chairs

By Sapporo, Mario Bellini, Cassina, Mobil Girgi, Alberto Rosselli Saporiti

Located in Saint Louis, MO

This pair of mid century modern Italian leather club chairs hits all the marks with a high design modern silhouette, warm and inviting original carmel color leather upholstery that pairs with all color schemes, and an all encompassing comfortable sitting experience you'll want to keep sinking into. Updated modern lines look good from all angles. Oversized arms express a space age modern sensibility. Rich carmel leather is soft and supple with patina the sort only decades can deliver. With a slightly angled seat, the chair purposely slides you into that wide seat back instantly lifting the cares and worries of the day. Tufts and pleats not only give the chair some depth but also ventilate well to keep you comfortable. Sink back into those big comfy cushions and relax with a glass of wine in that living room with a view. Light that cigar and lounge. Read in complete comfort. A divine sitting experience. Peace is Power SET (Matching Numbers, Symbolism, Nonviolence, Unity, Diplomacy)

By Shepard Fairey

Located in Kansas City, MO

Shepard Fairey Peace is Power SET (Matching Numbers) Screen print on thick cream Speckletone paper Year: 2025 Size: 24 x 18 inches (60.96 x 45.72 cm); each Edition: 500 Signed by Shepard Fairey, dated and numbered by hand; each COA provided *Edition number may vary from the image shown. The Peace is Power print by Shepard Fairey centers on the idea that peace is not passive, but an active and transformative force requiring empathy, diplomacy, creativity, and sustained effort. Rather than defining peace simply as the absence of conflict, Fairey frames it as the ability to resolve disagreement without violence—a process that demands patience, compassion, and collective responsibility. The composition prominently features the dove, an internationally recognized symbol of peace that has appeared throughout art history as an emblem of hope, reconciliation, and unity. Fairey employs the dove as both a visual anchor and a universal communication device, reinforcing the accessibility and immediacy of the work’s message. Consistent with his broader practice, Fairey combines bold graphic imagery with socially conscious themes, encouraging viewers to consider peace not as an abstract ideal but as a practical investment in the well-being of humanity and the planet. Originally conceived as a gesture for friends and family during the holiday season, the print was later released more broadly as an expression of gratitude to collectors and supporters. Through its direct symbolism and optimistic tone, Peace is Power reflects Fairey’s enduring belief in art’s capacity to inspire dialogue, solidarity, and constructive social values. Peace is Power print, Shepard Fairey dove...

Karpen Wingback Chairs in Luxuriously Soft Milk Chocolate Shearling, circa 1950s
Karpen Wingback Chairs in Luxuriously Soft Milk Chocolate Shearling, circa 1950s

Karpen Wingback Chairs in Luxuriously Soft Milk Chocolate Shearling, circa 1950s

By Karpen of California

Located in Saint Louis, MO

Stunning one of a kind pair of Mid-Century Modern wingback chairs by Karpen upholstered in super soft hand sewn Cocoa Milk Chocolate Shearling. The sort of chairs that become a family heirloom. A great reading chair. Perfect for a sexy mountain lodge or cigar room. A successful executive's evening chairs - perhaps fireside - while enjoying a robust Cabernet or a single malt scotch whiskey and cigar. Tall sculptural wingbacks have a commanding shape with an air of old money. The chairs are covered from top to bottom & front and back in several hand cut and sewn shearling hides. The Chocolate Shearling squares gently soften the formality to deliver super soft comfort and a luxurious look and sheen. You can't help but want to run your hand over the super soft shearling. Rich in color, the hides reflect light in different ways adding contrast and depth. Natural chestnut red highlights surface in the Cocoa Shearling. Tufted rounded backs - as originally designed - reinforce the chic and elegant vibe and invite you to lean back and relax. Wide seat and backs. Original sturdy walnut frame and conical legs. Shearling is highly durable and cleans up well - red wine approved. Seat cushions are upholstered in shearling on both sides in case you need a quick seat cushion flip - no expense spared. These Karpen Wingback shearling chairs are a special treat and wonderful acquisition. As glamorous and sexy today as when first made in the 1950s. Timeless. And they are the only pair available.
