A rare and impressive Baccarat Maxim crystal champagne bucket / wine cooler featuring faceted French crystal and signed gilt brass handles. Designed Baccarat, this exceptional luxury entertaining piece showcases the distinctive Maxim pattern, characterized by a substantial cut-crystal body with continuous vertical faceted panels that brilliantly refract light and create a striking architectural presence. Both sculptural and functional, this sought-after design exemplifies Baccarat's renowned craftsmanship and timeless elegance. The cooler is fitted with sculptural gilt brass handles bearing Baccarat marks, while the crystal retains both its original etched Baccarat script signature on the lower edge and the acid-etched Baccarat France circular seal on the underside, depicting a champagne bottle flanked by two stemmed glasses. These multiple Baccarat signatures confirm authenticity and underscore the exceptional craftsmanship associated with the renowned French crystal house. The contrast between luminous crystal and warm gilt brass reflects the sophisticated elegance associated with French luxury design and complements Neoclassical, Hollywood Regency, Art Deco Revival, and contemporary interiors alike. Part of Baccarat's coveted Maxim collection, this champagne cooler exemplifies the maison's commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and refined entertaining. Both decorative and functional, it is ideal for chilling champagne or wine and serves as a dramatic centerpiece on a bar cart, dining table, or console. A highly desirable Baccarat collectible, this substantial and beautifully crafted piece offers timeless style, exceptional quality, and enduring appeal for collectors of fine French crystal, luxury barware, and iconic 20th-century design.
