A very stylish antique Austrian Biedermeier figured Ash corner cabinet, circa 1830.
The cabinet with an ebonized crown and a glazed door below with arched panels, the door enclosing three shelves and the interior having the original grey paint. To the middle is a second ebonized band of wood and a single paneled door enclosing a single shelf, the cabinet with a corresponding ebonized band to the base and is raised on stile feet.
The cabinet is made from the most striking figured blond ash with highly variegated grain, both doors have inlaid lock escutcheons &3500 keys are present for the locks. Condition is a very good indeed, this very stylish antique Biedermeier corner cabinet...

A very rare twin section walnut brass & leather cabinet designed by Paul Mc Cobb, the top having brass dividers/supports with two moveable modular units one with four drawers the other with twin cupboard doors. This model is very rare, possibly a commission piece with leather fronts to the doors, most of the C8506 models had plain wood or doors with caning. The cabinet is also fitted with two original smoked glass shelves, the cabinet is fitted with a brass tag to one of the drawers "Calvin Grand Rapids The Irwin Collection designed by Paul Mc Cobb".
The base with corresponding brass legs to the front & rear, the cabinet with four 'concertina' doors fitted with the original Oxblood color leather and enclosing a fitted interior. Condition is very good indeed, the cabinet having been recently professionally restored in Bloomsbury's workshop. Provenance, the cabinet belonged to a prominent local architect and was acquired from new.

Vintage Clear Lucite Whale Functional Sculpture for Desktop or Vanity by Ritts Astrolite. CLOSING SALE

Perfect for the MCM affcionado who likes art and whales but whose space needs reqyure function as well, this lucite sculpture is made to hold pens or make-up brushes and look good doing it. (There is also a slit for the mouth for holding mail, cards, notes, etc.)
The sculpture measures approximately 8.5 x 3.75 x 2.25 inches.
Fairly good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. As is typical with these, there are visible scratches. There are also blemishes (for example, the underside appears to show evidence of a previous label) that could probably be alleviated by proper lucite cleaning/polishing techniques. Price has been adjusted accordingly.
Of course, the pen and brush are just for demo and will not come with the sculpture.
