Condo OM in Miami

Apartment by Mueblería Standard in Miami Beach, FL

For this customer we designed his main house, yacht and this vacation condo at the same time. Every project had to be completely different.

We decided to use a color palette of different blues, black, grays, beige and browns, to make it unique.

They needed a place to entertain as well as a warm family home.

We started with a blank canvas and designed the open layout of the condo with two seating areas, a formal dining room, and a work space (that can double as a breakfast room). This would allow them to use the space in different ways both for socializing and for everyday living.

We tore down the powder room to be able to expand the living room, positioning it in a different area. This allowed us a more generous use of the space.

The mill work is custom; the long wood wall conceals the entry door, the doors leading to two bedroom halls, and service doors. There are also two niches that work as a buffet and bar.

We opened the kitchen to the social area, but installed a steel screen to hang the TV. This gives more privacy while keeping the connection of both spaces.

Each of the five bedrooms have its own flair and are different. Since it is a vacation home, we wanted to give them comfort but fun as well.

In two of them we created a wood wall that hides the closet and let us hang the TV.
