Outdoor Living Room in Mexico

This outdoor space is in the back garden of our clients house.

It was conceived to give them an entertainment area that the whole family could enjoy, making it a functional extension of their existing house.

The Terrace was designed over a deck area that previously existed.

The challenge in this project was to harmonize a new structure with the classical architecture of the house.

We decided to do a very clean modern design that does not compete with the existing house. Part of the roof was made of Wood with exterior sheetrock panels, and Paint finished.

In the middle of the roof there is a glass opening in order to see the wonderful trees of the garden.

A very important aspect to achieve this, was the two grand reinforced concrete columns, that allowed us to do the cantilever structure ( 20 feet) in order not to block the view from the house to the garden. These columns are lined with synthetic Wood that perfectly match with the existing deck.

This allowed for the terrace to be close but also far enough not to compete with the house giving them a new outdoor space.
