Commissioned to create a luxury residence in the Balearic Islands, Fiona Barratt Interiors met their client’s aspirations for the ultimate bespoke villa. From concept to completion, Fiona Barratt Interiors worked closely with the Spanish architect, building contractor, audio visualist and landscape architect. The challenge began with a plot of land on the ocean hillside. The layout of the property was carefully considered ensuring the villa would not only be beautiful but practical and functional, maximising natural light and incorporating the spectacular sea and garden views.
The spacious and efficient floor plan includes a gym, cinema, wine cellar, self-contained guest apartment, 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Contemporary joinery, designed in-house, was crafted from carefully selected timbers such as iroko, ash, wenge and teak, whose tone, texture and colour complimented the rustic surroundings, as well being resilient to the sea air. Silk carpets, specialist wall finishes, antique brass and bronze details, bespoke lighting, furniture, specialist artwork and accessories add an essence of exceptional luxury, not often akin to a seaside villa. Products were shipped not only from their hand-crafted manufacturers in the UK but from Europe and the US collectively, creating a truly unique and enchanting coastal property.
