Villa, Monticello

Family Home by Fiona Barratt Interiors in Roma, IT

The design-led concept involved the delicate combination of traditional materials such as marble, specialist wood veneers and metals, complemented by antiques and art with modern elements using luxurious fabric for upholsteries and soft furnishings, accessories, distinctive wallcoverings and bespoke lighting. Special attention has been paid to bathroom designs, offering considered arrangements and luxury sanitary ware product combined with natural stone. An intimate and exclusive atmosphere where warming light, fragrance create a calming ether, blending with the magnificent style of Monticello itself. The concept for Villa Pazzi is unique in its exceptional attention to detail presenting a peerless example of understated luxury. A uniform palette is streamlined to ensure every element feels cohesively aligned. The villa reflects a new definition of luxury. Devoid of ostentation, instead, it focuses on the true craftsmanship of European and Italian design. It is an intellectual journey into form and artisanship, using the finest materials and fabrics. Vernacular traditional details have been maintained to offer the highest standard of comfort and refinement. Continuous windows in the living space open to reveal uninterrupted views of Rome, leading out to a beautiful terrace outdoor seating featuring a dining area and planting mirroring the Monticello terraces that blanket the ‘Little Mountain’. The kitchen exudes warmth, airiness, space and light with influences from European architects drawing inspiration from the classical European style combined with luxury textured wood veneers. With an open plan design, considered for entertaining and maximising the views around the site, the hub of the villa fuses informal entertaining with the raw elements and mechanics of a chef’s style kitchen.
