Artist Commentary: Years ago while on a hunt for compositions to photograph, I came across a splattered wall. I was in an industrial area in northeast Los Angeles and driving through an alley behind some warehouses. I stopped in front of a wall that had tar running down from a roof that had undergone some repairs. The tar patterns reminded me of art by Joan Mitchell or Jackson Pollock.
