"Alphabet Marilyn Benday Pink" 39x32 framed POP ART

By Ceravolo

Located in Southampton, NY

We are please to present Ceravolo's one of a kind "Alphabet Marilyn Benday Pink". Ceravolo has been a master of creating intriguing portraits of iconic personalities for more then 4 decades, and rose to fame when he was commissioned to create 5 large-scale portraits for the lobby of the Palladium Theatre in New York City of LINDA RONSTADT, JACKSON BROWNE, NEIL YOUNG, FRANK ZAPPA and HALL AND OATES, In addition to those portraits, his paintings are in the private collections of SIR ELTON JOHN, ROD STEWART, HUGH M. HEFNER and PRINCE JEFRI of Brunei to name only a few. In this new Alphabet Benday work, Ceravolo adds color to the image of his stylized black and white portrait painting, with letters of the alphabet and then adds a shocking PINK color to the negative space formed by the letters. He has also added "Benday" dots to the portrait to add to the POP ART feeling of the art. The piece is matted with a thick 8 ply white mat and a white frame. This work is titled, "Alphabet Marilyn Benday Pink" and is printed on Rag paper size is 33x26" framed size measures approx. 39x32". It is a one of a kind work and is signed by Ceravolo. We have included an image of Ceravolo with some of his Celebrity collectors as well as a vintage story...

PORTRAIT OF CHARLIE KELLER

PORTRAIT OF CHARLIE KELLER

By Morton Dimondstein

Located in Los Angeles, CA

"PORTRAIT OF CHARLIE KELLER" ARTIST OIL ON PAPER C.1970 23 X 17.5 INCHES Morton Dimondstein 1920-2000 At the age of seventeen Morton Dimondstein enrolled in the American Artists School and then the Art Students League in New York City, where he studied painting, drawing, and printmaking with Anton Refregier, Harry Sternberg, and Kimon Nicolaides. After serving in the 387th Field Artillery Battalion during World War II, Dimondstein continued his studies at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. He was one of the first artists to produce serigraphic prints on the West Coast, marketing them as affordable art in galleries and retail stores. His prints and oil paintings garnered several awards during this post-war period, including an A.C.A. Gallery international competition for a one- man show in New York City. In 1951 he moved to Mexico, where he attended the Instituto Politécnico Nacional and studied art with José Gutiérrez and David Alfaro Siqueiros. During his three years in Mexico, Dimondstein worked as a staff artist and instructor in visual education for UNESCO and was a member of the Taller de Gráfica Popular. After moving back to Los Angeles, Dimondstein served as the art editor of the California Quarterly from 1953 to 1956. He briefly worked for the Saul Bass advertising firm where he designed books and book jackets, and collaborated on the ad campaigns for films such as William Wyler’s “The Big Country” and Otto Preminger’s “St. Joan.” Dimondstein received industry recognition for the images he created, but cranking out art for commercial ventures with strict deadlines was not for him. He chose to leave that world in favor of working as an independent artist and art teacher. Over the years he taught at the Kann Art Institute, the New School of Art, the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and the School of Fine Art which he established with UCLA faculty member Martin Lubner...

By Rick Garcia

Located in Chicago, IL

Archival Ink on Museum Quality Rag Paper Available in the following sizes: 16 x 20 inches 24 x 30 inches 30 x 40 inches Edition size: 25 Please inquire regarding framing Rick Garcia's RAG13 Collection is inspired by the observation that there has been a significant and permanent change in our public and private lives. These artworks use symbolism to illustrate how the ubiquitous presence of suspicion and the act of being a suspect have both become a way of life. Adults and children are shown as generic solid shapes with parts missing to indicate loss of identity and the relinquishing of certain rights. The watchful eye of authority is always present as a figure dressed in black with three white stripes. All of the figures have a red dot to symbolize the human heart; how we are all connected. This red dot also represents being a target or a person of interest. Overall, this latest series creates a surreal flow of images, colors, and shapes blending into a beautiful and poignant work of art. About the Artist: "Photography has been part of my creativity throughout my life and more recently has become influential in my abstract work on canvas. The magical shapes of water gracefully floating or scattering in mid-air reveals the true god-like essence of nature. I am fascinated studying these images of bright tiny mercury-like globes, silky trails, dancing droplets and crystal clear languid sheets. " Rick Garcia was born in Havana, Cuba, and very soon after, his parents relocated to Miami, Florida. He was always encouraged to follow his dream of pursuing and developing his talent in art. In later years he found a deep-rooted connection to surrealism, especially the work of Salvador Dali. Garcia had become obsessed with the unique images and amazing technique of the Spanish painter and he eventually traveled to Port Lligat, Spain to visit the home and surroundings of his mentor. After years of attending the Art Institute of Miami, where he refined his artistic vision in drawing and painting, he was soon earning an income from published illustrations. Garcia has enjoyed a rich and diverse career starting with the hit TV show "Miami Vice" commissioning him to create a mural on the side of a three story building, and used his paintings for interior shots. Apart from a growing number of private commissions, his distinctive images were commissioned by The United Nations Postal Administration in 1998 and 2003. His stamps brought awareness to the growing extinction of the rainforest and its inhabitants, and followed with the 50th Anniversary of the World Health Organization, bringing awareness to the vanishing supply of freshwater, where it earned him the prestige of the most beautiful stamp series of 2003. Garcia was chosen as an "Absolut Artist of the 90s" in the popular vodka ad campaign and with his second piece Absolut Electric, this further drew worldwide attention. 1998, 1999, and 2001 garnered him the distinction of official artist to The Grammy Awards where his creations influenced the look of the live broadcast and graced the covers of the official program book, CDs, posters, apparel, and other various items. His work included portraits of stars such as Destiny's Child, Ricky Martin, Coldplay, Santana, Celia Cruz...

His life long passion of thoroughbred racing tapped him in 2008 to be the official artist of the 2008 Kentucky Derby Festival. Founder of Benihana, Rocky Aoki, gave Rick complete creative control to design a sushi restaurant on Miami Beach. We are please to present Ceravolo's one of a kind "Alphabet Monroe Lavender/Pink". Hefner, and Prince Jefri of Brunei to name only a few. With his new Alphabet series, Ceravolo combines an image of his stylized black and white portrait painting, with letters of the alphabet and adds color to the negative space formed by the letters. As a final touch, he places color in the letters that make up the iconic subjects first or last name. This creates a contemporary, yet classic look to this unique creation. This work is titled, "Alphabet Marilyn lavender/Pink" and is printed on Rag paper size is 36x30" framed size measures 42x36". It is a one of a kind work and is signed by Ceravolo. I have included an image of Ceravolo with some of his Celebrity collectors as well as a vintage...
